Computer Music

Apart from the program auralization work I am also interested in the wider application of computer technology to music.

There are many resources on the WWW in this area. I will endeavour to put in some links.

If you are of a programming bent then you might like to check out the CSOUND Front Page. CSOUND is an interesting tool that allows you to generate sounds and music from your PC/Mac by specifying mathematical functions and the like.

When I get the hang of using CSOUND I will post here some example audio clips of my doodles. For instance, I am keen to play around with different frequency modulations and to hear how they sound. For example, what does COS (8t + 4 SIN(t)) sound like?
