Links to other audio-research sites.

Below are links to other pages and resources related to research into auditory display.

bullet

ICAD is the International Conference on Auditory Display. A very good source of references for this new and growing research field.

bullet

The Earcons Home Page provides good coverage of the state of the art in earcon research. This is another good source of references.

bullet

Alistair Edwards has done some good work on the development of auditory interfaces for blind users.

The following sites are a bit less directly relevant to my work, but seem interesting all the same.

Hearing Development Research Laboratory

bullet

GVU Center - Software Visualization. Georgia Tech. has a centre for research in software visualisation. This is an interesting site as a large amount of auditory display research is involved with the audio counterpart to visualisation.

bullet

The Audio Research Group at the university of Waterloo in California, USA.

Additional resources.

bullet

The ACM is an excellent forum for the discussion of audio research. Its SIGSOUND and SIGCHI special interest groups are of particular relevance.
